Dieting or exercising-what is better? 

My husband is overweight and nothing seems to be working for him. What should he pay more stress on-dieting or exercising?

The most important thing to remember here is to burn more calories than being consumed. Intake of fewer calories through dietary changes has been seen to promote weight loss quite effectively. But physical activity is also important in weight control.

So its exercise plus calorie restriction together that will  help to achieve the goal. Exercise will not only help to burn off the excess calories which can't be cut through diet alone but  also acts as a mood booster, strengthens the cardiovascular system and reduces the blood pressure. It helps in maintaining weight loss. Studies show that people who exercise regularly are able to maintain their weight loss for a longer period as compared to those who lose weight by crash dieting, as they are more likely to regain weight quickly, often within six months after they stop dieting.

One should take balanced diet which contains protein, nutritional vitamins, and nutrients, dietary and other nutrition. Eat green vegetables, fruits, juices, drink plenty of water and avoid stress, sleep well, do Exercise daily for at least for 20 minutes. Try to cook at home as much as possible. Food from a restaurant often contains a lot of fat and salt. Also, restaurant portions are huge, which might tempt you to eat more than you really need. When you cook your own food, you can control exactly what goes into your meal, and you can control your portions.

Dieting is not only solution for the weight loss. You must have balanced diet along with exercise.

Losing weight is not something anyone can achieve over night. It will take days, weeks or even months for one to trim down. But life has become even busier for most people that they can not squeeze in exercise in their busy schedule. Without exercise and postponing fitness, you just might be surprised that you have more fat in your body that you can handle. So do exercises and have balance diet.

Maintain a proper diet. Do exercise, walking, cycling. Do yoga daily that also one of the best way to reduce wait. Drink more water.
